Sanding and denibbing brush machines are used extensively in many different industrial branches especially in furniture production. With the sanding and denibbing brushes it is possible to do many work operations such as the preparation of surface, finishing, finishing sanding, denibbing, deburring and other.
Sanding and denibbing brush consists of a special hub or disc, top/bottom flanges, sanding strips and support brushes. Hubs and discs are available in different sizes. It is important to know the hub or disc key way or grooves shape and dimensions, which is intended to hold the sanding strips and support brushes. The plastic brush body keeps together the sanding strips and support brushes. The plastic brush body may be of different shapes and sizes and therefore it must be observed that it fits with the hub or disc key way or groove.
Support brushes are made from the so-called tampico fibres and they are intended to support the sanding strips and maintain contact pressure on the component being processed. Sanding strips are slitted or unslitted flexible sanding cloth strips, the grit size of which depends on the intended application.
Sanding strips with different slit and grit size may be used on the sanding and denibbing brush machines. Is important for the sanding and denibbing brushes to be fully flexible permitting the user to exert the correct sanding pressure. By determining the correct diameter of the sanding and denibbing brushes and selecting the most suitable rotation speed, optimum results can be easily achieved.
In such sanding and denibbing brush machines the sanding pressure and rotation speed can be adjusted, thereby optimising the performance and extending the lifetime of the sanding and denibbing brushes. All the aforesaid reduces the power consumption and downtime due to the changing of sanding strips. As the end result, considerable savings in manpower and the costs of the paint/lacquer materials can be achieved.
In proof of our argument that the use of sanding and denibbing brushes is affordable, we add here an example specifying the cost of standard sanding and denibbing brushes:
aluminium hub Ø180 mm width 100 mm, straight line, 36 segments | 37.20(price includes VAT) |
aluminium flange Ø180 mm | 24.00(price includes VAT) |
aluminium detachable flange Ø180 mm (it can be replaced with an aluminium flange) | 36.00(price includes VAT) |
sanding strips P42 width 100 mm slitted 4-7 or 7-20 and support brushes total 36 segments | 75.60(price includes VAT) |
The total cost of such sanding and denibbing brushes is 172.80 EUR. Future costs are only related to the replacement of sanding strips and support brushes.
